    Breaking the Pattern....

    FYI
We recently had a lecture from Ted Smith and he criticized the current model of multi-family housing, which seems to be "4-OVERS" (4 levels of housing over 1 level of parking). There are issues of cars controlling architecture, poor interior circulation, and light coming from only one wall off your unit.

I am proposing a dwelling that can grow AND downsize with the community. It consists of 4'x8' lightweight economic panels that can be moved when new space is needed. The program requires 18 original units. But when tenants move out or there is a high demand for space, the building can adapt to accommodate the user. In the extreme case, all units can be wiped out to create space for conventions, etc.
