The Thames Womb

2017 PennDesign + Architectural Association ARCH 701 Studio

Delirious New York at Canary Wharf | London, United Kingdom

Manhattanism offers a structural prototype for research into the culture of congestion, a potential blueprint for metrics and alternatives to global architecture and lifestyle in global cities.

Post Brexit London is a global city at the brink of its own cultural re-description - beyond its financial bravado if nit architectural bravura - ready for a reassessment of its urban architecture.

Therefore, "The Thames Womb" will present a thesis project that embeds "A city within a city", that is strange yet familiar; floating yet grounded; independent yet intergrated; urban yet rural; rational yet delirious.
