Multifunctional community center «Slavyanka»

First of all, we tried to respond to two scales - the scale of the capital's Kutuzovsky Prospekt and the more intimate Slavyansky Boulevard. The facade along Kutuzovsky is solved with a single, continuous volume, and the reverse facade consists of several separate "cubes". Then we tried to make the areas of contact with visitors as accessible and permeable as possible - the end with the main entrance, the storefronts along Slavyansky Boulevard (for which we organized a separate pedestrian level covering the entrances to the parking lot), as well as the rear facade, punching an additional entrance with an open staircase-esplanade connecting the building with the adjacent park. Finally, we thought about the facade shell itself, "clothes for the introvert" (which by definition is a large shopping center), which allows you to create any texture on large areas. In this case, these are smooth streaks of wood (as a "Slavic" material) in the form of a three-dimensional perforated shell. This solution forms a spectacular chiaroscuro pattern in the daytime, as well as ample opportunities for evening illumination.

The main task of the architectural solution of the facades was the need to adapt the building to two different scales — the capital's Kutuzovsky Prospekt and the more intimate Slavyansky Boulevard. The facade along Kutuzovsky is solved with a single, continuous volume, and the reverse facade consists of several separate "cubes".

The areas of contact with visitors are the end of the main entrance, the storefronts along Slavyansky Boulevard are made as transparent and attractive as possible for pedestrians. The upper floor on the side of Kutuzovsky Ave. also has panoramic glazing, along which cafes and restaurants are located. The most front part in the main entrance area is solved in non-interlaced glazing using Sadev technology.

The main material of the facade shell is perforated aluminum panels mounted at a distance from the main walls. The pattern of the perforation simulates smooth streaks of the wood texture, and the ratio of the panels allows you to organize spectacular evening lighting. The volumetric nature of the perforation, in which the holes punched in the panel are bent at an angle of 90 * to the plane of the facade, allows you to achieve a more interesting plastic and black-and-white effect.

The basement of the building is lined with dark gray granite, the space under the pedestrian ramp from Slavyansky Boulevard is lined with aluminum cassettes located at a slight angle to each other (the so-called "fence").
