The Mary Catherine Bunting Center at Mercy

In 2006, AECOM began the design of Mercy’s replacement hospital tower. The new, $263.3 million, 700,000-square-foot, 21-story building accommodates 253 beds, planned for phased occupation. The completed program includes operating rooms, medical/surgical units, intensive care unit, orthopedics, inpatient oncology, telemetry and dialysis, administrative suite, and a chapel. The tower also includes shell space for additional clinical programs, including emergency department and OB/LDR shell space. The Bunting Center opened in December 2010.
