Residential and Commercial Building (Anjos, Lisbon)

The design of new buildings in old areas of the city is always a challenge that requires careful and captivating approaches, without forgetting the historical relationship with is surroundings.
Located in the civil parish of Anjos in Lisbon, the building seeks to emerge as a modern break in the area, but naturally obeying the metrics and alignments that exists in the neighboring buildings. The optical illusion transmitted with the separation of the floors, leads to the idea of rupture, of physical separation of the apartments. It was designed to have retail on the ground floor, and in this case, two apartments T1 per floor. Space is limited, but it has been well utilized by taking full advantage of natural light. The top floor have a common terrace and some of the condominium services.
