The Residences at Forty-Two Forest

Tucked Elegantly into New Canaan’s charming downtown, the residences at Forty-Two Forest Street exemplify both sophisticated modernity and the classic vernacular of New England Architecture.

Occupying a transitional corner between downtown and residential areas presented two design objectives. First, the Locust Avenue Lofts needed to anchor the energy of its commercial neighbors and compliment their public nature and scale. A flat roofed 3 story structure with retail on the first floor and two luxury residential lofts above elegantly fulfilled those needs.  Second, the Forest Street corner needed a smooth transition from downtown to residential which was executed with Urban townhouses.

The lofts, designed with luxury in mind, are open concept residences constructed with premium materials, millwork and finishes.  There are 5 traditional clapboard townhouses, each with their own front stoop and stairs that engage the street and allow residents to walk out of their homes and immediately enjoy downtown. The townhouses are constructed with high end materials and finishes, custom millwork, top of the line fixtures and state of the art gourmet kitchens.
