Magok Residential Development Planning

The project will support the development of large-scale urban projects that demonstrate cities can grow in ways that are “climate positive.” As a leading architectural firm in Asia, Samoo was invited to the competition for the founding 16 projects. We suggested the Magok Urban Development Project, a government-funded development plan to build 12,000 residential units in Seoul’s southwest district. Our consortium with the City of Seoul had seven weeks to create a design for 2,594 acres of land and to propose an energy-saving strategy with visual simulation. It was also selected as a participating project for the Clinton Climate Initiative, a project of the  William J. Clinton Foundation.
