MacLachlan Cornelius & Filoni, Inc., 1993.
The client had purchased a fully leased strip mall built in 1960. It needed updating and a new look. The budget would not allow for the typical canopy facelift seen at the time: brick veneer columns, stucco faces and standing seam roof.
Our solution was to develop a family of elements: structural steel frames with steel channels and angles spanning between them to hold the signs, and fiberglass reinforced cement panels to form a playful backdrop against the existing parapet wall.
