Kigali-Rwamagana: a strategy for local development of eastern corridor

Rwanda is a small, densely populated country in Africa. As many other Sub-Saharan country, Rwanda is growing at extreme rate and the problem of controlling the expansion has become one of the themes that have very occupied the Rwandan government. The dissertation was responsible for drawing up a strategy for the development of the eastern province of Rwanda,focusing on the area of Musha, in the district of Rwamagana, so that these territories within the range of 50 km from the city did not prove to be incorporated by the city itself butcan be a resource for their livelihood. This strategy put in a system the relational aspect in the definition of their own spaces of Rwandan culture, the territorial aspect in the management of lands and agricultural issues, considering the issues of food sovereignty and cash crops, so that the local villages retain their identity and land maintain their vocation. The choices were made ​​in accordance with the wishes of the local population and addresses of the Rwandese government, believing that the idea of embryonic development must come from the same Rwandans.
