Michael W Folonis Architects is an award-winning design studio located in Santa Monica, California, directed by Michael Folonis, FAIA. The firm was founded in 1983 and celebrates 30 years of excellence in 2013.

Michael creates distinctive Modernist architecture with a quality of timelessness. He approaches his work with a generous spirit of inquiry, infusing each project with an awareness of environmental responsibility, context, theory, function, and the maximal use of form, materials and natural light. The work has been published nationally and internationally, and is recognized for carrying on the rich legacy of Modernist exploration within the Southern California region. His work includes multi-family residential, commercial, mixed-use, single-family residential and restoration of historically significant Modernist buildings. He has received numerous regional and national design awards.
