COOP HIMMELB(L)AU was founded in 1968 in Vienna, Austria, by Wolf D. Prix and Helmut Swiczinsky and has since then continued to work within the fields of URBANISM, ARCHITECTURE, DESIGN and ART. In 1988 and 2000 second offices were opened in Los Angeles, California and Guadalajara, Mexico, respectively.
