    It's almost over...
So, it is my final semester in the Bachelor of Interior Architecture here at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). A little about me: I transfered from The University of Houston and the Interior Design Program 3 years ago, and now I am here at an art school getting my degree. I wanted to get out of the University setting of 40,000 plus students, to SAIC with about 2,000 students.
We have started work on our Thesis projects, we can do just about anything...of course Hennie and Jaak (our instructors for the Advanced Studio) will try to guide our decisions:) I am working on the idea of an Urban Chapel in Chicago's Loop. Being from Houston I was inspired by the Rothko Chapel, the Byzantine Fresco Chapel, and Philip Johnson's Chapel of St. Basil. We'll see what happens...
I guess I should say something about Philip Johnson but bringing him up you divide everyone...
Anyone with some references of sacred architecture that come to mind post it here...it never hurts to start a discussion...
