This proposal aims to design a commercial complex in the old downtown area of Dubai, which should include: leasable retail spaces, restaurant, a small garden, and other general support programs. Under the strong sunshine, outdoor public activities in this high-density area are quite limited. 

The proposal addressed the issues as: extreme weather, mixed use, and public space for the public. In addition, since the old downtown area of Dubai is full of different types of retail business, the concept of the proposal is based on unique shopping experience to attract the customers. It also tries to provides the region with a practical  formula, which can adapt to different kinds of irregular urban space.
