The relationship between building and landscape is explored through a series of shifting moves and changes in elevation. Fifty percent of the built environment and program are gently nestled into the site, providing a direct physical connection extending into the landscape.The remanining gesture extends outward with a drastic change in elevation, acting as a foreign object to the immidiate landscape and allowing visual connections to the larger city context. A series of outdoor classrooms are arranged throughout the site, providing immediate connections to Jamaica Pond, the athletic field, and amphitheater; which in return become part of the public space of the neighborhood.
