The Non Linear Solution Unit (NSU) at GSAPP Columbia University and Interni Magazine will feature the project Instant Installation.
Developed by 24 international students guided by  Caterina  Tiazzoldi, Instant Installation explore architecture capacity to adapt and reconfigure for different uses and locations. Instant installation is a product a space articulator to define and organize public and semipublic spaces. It defines an adaptive boundary between spatial interiority and urban exteriority.

Realized with colored rubber strings and cnc fabricated wooden rails, Instant installation enables a playful engagement with the visitor and the space. Visitors are absorbed by the installation geometry and layer of materiality.

Instant Installation is a space articulator. Quick to install, Instant Installation is realized with an parametric techniques and a computer numeric control manufacturing process permitting to quickly produce prefabricated customized rails. Instant Installation is a customizable product that can be easily carried in a bag. Each user can select a nesting technique of the wires and can therefore define its own level of transparency, enclosure and privacy. Instant Installation explore the idea of physical enclosure and the relations the social interaction it can implies. Instant Installation challenges the boundary between a product and architecture. It is a product having the capacity to generate, articulate and transform spaces.

Instant installation is also the winner for the University of Memphis Art Museum in occasion of the Art Lab Installation.
