Whispering Hope Ranch enables children with developmental disabilities and chronic illnesses to enjoy the many wonders of a traditional camp experience with the additional therapeutic benefit of interacting with special animals. The camp's many structures, through their sloping roof lines and natural materials, relate tot the surrounding beauty of the forest, meadow, and adjacent Mogollon Rim (the edge of the Colorado Plateau). The program includes a dining hall, administration offices, lecture room with A/V aids, learning and discovery center with classroom and arts teaching room housing looms and a demonstration kitchen.
Whispering Hope Ranch is the recipient of a 2011 AIA Honor Award.
