Local authorities decided to transform an undeveloped piece of land dedicated to farming activities in the outside of the city of Yaritagua, into a recreational space and meeting point for residents. The main purpose was to incorporate public program and new infrastructure to this city serving all housing towards this area. Therefore, several different zones have been designed, each intended for either leisure, sports or recreational purposes. The sports program includes basketball court, volleyball court, soccer court and a running track all around the park. The whole park incorporates plenty of green areas between each program and near an important highway towards the lot which will ensure isolation from the busy arterial route and also allows meeting spaces for residents. This project enable the transformation of a significant section of this area by activating through a public space and consequently benefiting the entire city.
