As an architecture and design office we were asked to create a new vision for a space located in La Victoria, Maracay. Bassed on the necessity to incorporate sports and landscape program all around the country, this public and social project creates a continuous pedestrian path with connections that enrich and diversify life along the park. Filled with green areas, sports program, playground, skate park area and commercial units this plan complements an existing project called “El Paseo La Victoria” created to support civic events such as parades at historic dates. The linear park is divided in three stages, the first one on the west area involves the sports program, the center of the park represent the playground area and meeting space and the final stage is the skate park area which was modified at the end of the development of the project, with beautiful pedestrian walkways and public activities; the park becomes an “urban getaway” for visitors and residents alike.
