White Hall Building , New York, A healthcare center facing the Hudson river provides a great environment for autistic children. The river minimizes outside distractions of noise and view. Research of young autistic children reveals the importance of family support in managing their condition. The stay together center is inspired by holding hands which represents the support, connection and embraces that take place in the space. The three user group of this location consists of children, family and staff (therapist, medical staff, counselor), who all interact with one another in the space. Notice the public area in the center, which reflects the atmosphere of a community center where all three groups can connect.
