The World Islands, Dubai.

The World Islands is a collection of man-made islands located off the coast of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The islands were created to resemble a world map, with each island representing a different country or region. The project was initiated in 2003 and was completed in 2008. The islands were constructed using sand dredged from the sea and arranged into the shape of the world map. The project was a massive undertaking, involving the construction of 300 islands in total, covering an area of 9 kilometers in length and 6 kilometers in width.

Each island is designed to reflect the culture and architecture of the country or region it represents. The islands are intended to be used for a variety of purposes, including residential, commercial, and leisure activities. Despite some setbacks, such as the 2008 global financial crisis, which affected the development of the islands, many have been sold and developed. Some of the islands have been transformed into luxury resorts, while others remain undeveloped. The World Islands are a testament to the ambitious and innovative spirit of Dubai, and they continue to attract visitors and investors from around the world.
