The Palm Jebel Ali, Dubai.

The Palm Jebel Ali is a man-made island located off the coast of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is one of the three Palm Islands, the other two being Palm Jumeirah and Palm Deira. The Palm Jebel Ali, is 30% larger than the Palm Jumeirah, is a two -separated island with no link between them. The canal separating the crescent from the palm tree is a line of poetry by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Ruler of Dubai. The Palm Jebel Ali was planned to be even larger than Palm Jumeirah, with a total area of 50 square kilometers. The island was designed to feature a mix of residential, commercial, and leisure activities, including luxury hotels, shopping malls, and theme parks.

Construction of the Palm Jebel Ali began in 2002, but was halted in 2008 due to the global financial crisis. Despite attempts to revive the project in later years, it has remained mostly undeveloped. The Palm Jebel Ali was designed to be a remarkable feat of engineering, featuring a large crescent-shaped breakwater that would protect the island from strong waves and currents. The island was also designed to have a unique shape resembling a palm tree, with fronds extending out from the trunk. Although the Palm Jebel Ali was not fully completed, it remains a symbol of Dubai's ambition and innovation. Its unique design and engineering have inspired other similar projects around the world.
