The mission of the Interior Design Department is to prepare students to function as trained professionals who can conceive and develop viable, creative design solutions within the realities of a global market.  The development of realistic expectations for individual achievement within the field enables students to contribute successfully at many diverse levels.  By meeting the education goals, students should develop an attitude of flexibility and a desire for life-long learning that will enable them to become contributing members of the design profession. They should recognize their responsibility to the evolving needs of individuals, to the global community and to the principles of sustainable design.
