2nd Year Undergraduate Project (2011)
The Umbrella Pavilion, located in Tahrir Square, was designed to be a complex of lightweight structures that could be rapidly assembled to provide needed amenities to the revolutionist of the Arab Spring. The pavilion is comprised of individual units that can be arranged in to different combinations to create a larger structure, each unit offering a different service. The concept references the power each individual brings to a movement great than themselves.
