Our approach was to combine east and west cultures in a single development. In today’s contemporary and modern interpretations of living based on the idea of shell and core where the core contains the workings of the building and the rooms at peripheral has views out. In Chinese culture, the concept of residential dwelling is completely opposite where the Siheyuan is predominantly inward looking and the rooms at the peripheral look inwards.
