Taman Cahaya Madani is a project to revitalize Taman Gayung Bersambut which is located on Jl. Firdaus Rais and adjacent to the Great Mosque and faces the Mayor's Office of Singkawang. Revitalization is carried out to strengthen the identity of open space in the city that can accommodate various community activities and support the realization of the city community.

Revitalization of Taman Gayung Bersambut starts from a lack of maintenance, programs and facilities in the park, which triggers consideration of the renewal design concept for Taman Gayung Bersambut in order to meet the need for public space that can accommodate people's activities, create interaction between the government and the community through formal, informal meetings and creative events.

The basic concept for land formation of Taman Cahaya Madani is to meeting axes between important buildings around the park, like Mayor's office of Singkawang and Masjid Agung Singkawang, then added with various supporting facilities that utilize local materials, Singkawang Bricks.

Various facilities provide on Singkawang Central Park features to support Singkawang creative community. Hence, artspace facilities area provided as the main attraction: art pavillion, gallery, amphiteatre, cafe, mural walls. Moreover, relaxing and sport facilities are provided in the area such as skatepark, basketball court, jogging track, outdoor gym equipments.
