Mr. Gant is the Resident Engineer on the $7.2 million installation of the Floating Pool Barge and Reconstruction of the 410’-foot-long x 49’-foot-wide Tiffany Street Pier. The Floating Pool Lady is the barge that was remade into an 82-foot-long swimming pool and donated to City Parks Department in 2008 by a Non-Profit Organization. The first year Mr. Gant managed the utility installations, gang-way connections and mooring of the floating swimming pool in addition to overseeing the posting, capping and re-decking construction of the fire damage portions of the Tiffany Street Pier located at the Barretto Point Park. The three following years managing and documenting the daily work activities before and after each pool season were his duties to ensuring the pools opening and closing were on time and within budget. In this, the fifth and final season, Mr. Gant’s services are retained for the close-out of this contract.
