A project which looked to address the stigma around mental health facilities and how to create an environment which serves both patient and the surrounding community harmoniously.

The project brought the traditionally 'out-of-sight' and 'out-of-mind' facility type and situated it in the sub-urban residential area of Richmond Hill Port Elizabeth. By exposing the interaction between the surrounding and the facility the hope is to both treat the patients in a better light as well as provide crucial information about medical facilities of this type in the hopes of breaking down public misconceptions.
