Second Year Studio Project | Iowa State University | Fall 1998
Dan Broffitt, Brian Lee, Josh Shull
An influential early work, this project required the construction of an apparatus to record the motion of the human body on an architectural surface. Through a system of pulleys, the motion of the arms and legs drive a heart-like pump which draws in air and pressurizes a liquid filled tank. This pressurized liquid is forced through a system of tubing and is sprayed out at the wrists and ankles, leaving a trace of the running motion.
