An update of the articulated bench design fabricated and submitted as part of the Going Metro: Go Design transit design competition for Sioux Falls, SD. Segmented seat sections conform to multiple seating positions changing the form of the seating element depending on use. Counterweights located at the edge of each seat section return the system to a vertical resting position when not occupied. This bench prototype is made from CNC cut HDPE plastic components on a tube steel frame.
