Project_This was an architectural competition to provide ideas to renovate the interior spaces of the castle of Buñol and the surrounding area.
Until this moment, the castle had been very isolated from the city, even though it is located in its center. The project tries to narrow the relationship between them.
The access to the buildings has been treated as a park, where plenty of vegetation and modern street furniture have been installed to create intimate areas where pedestrians can admire the walls from outside. Inside, the fortress is divided into spaces at several levels. The lowest ones have been organized into several viewpoints to look at the city while the higher ones configure elegant areas where a multitude of outdoor activities can be performed.
