This 28 million dollar magnet high school was a project that had been in the works for five years before construction commenced. The high school sits on the University of Hartford’s campus and was partly state funded because of its proximity to and involvement with a major city road. Extensive geo-technical analysis and value engineering efforts were unprecedented prominent challenges of the project.
I was assigned this high school as my main project when I began working at JCJ Architecture as a Construction Administrator. I oversaw the project from pre-bidding to the grand opening. Due to the complex and demanding nature of the project, I took on many roles extending beyond my Construction Administration duties, including drafter, Job Captain and Project Manager.
