About

My name is Betty Quintana and I am originally from Miami, FL.

I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture as well as a Master’s degree in Construction Management from Florida International University in Miami, FL.  In addition, I also recently earned a Master’s degree in Architecture from Northeastern University in Boston, MA.

I have been working in the architectural field for over eleven years.  I spent eight years working in a small boutique firm in Miami, FL.  The nature of the small firm allowed me to take on multiple roles ranging from Office Manager to Junior Designer along with various other responsibilities such as close interactions with city officials and clients.  This experience provided a strong foundation for my transition into a much larger firm in Hartford, CT where I was hired as a Construction Administrator.  Although my role in the larger firm was much more defined, I often took on the responsibilities of a Project Manager and Job Captain.  One project in particular, had been a great challenge for the firm for many years.  I was able to see the project from pre-construction to the grand opening.  My experience and confidence in job sites was also greatly expanded on in my time as a Construction Administrator.

The capacity in which I have practiced architecture and the nature of the projects I have worked on has been very diverse and encompassing.   I have experience working on high end residential projects, commercial, school and laboratory projects.
