The Biqi Lane City Center was designed as a new type of energetic Urban Attraction for China in Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province. Conceived as an organic garden environment offering a unique public gathering place, street and enclosed entertainment and shopping, high rise Grade A office tower, and 900 units of high- quality residential living overlooking the Grand Canal. At the center of the retail mall, a unique oval shaped vertical entertainment space can be arrived at from inside the mall or from the dining canal bringing the garden environment to the interior. This is a location for larger scale entertainment and exhibition events to occur including music, dance, and acrobatics that will be a continuous draw to the community. 

As the Design Director I guided a team of 5 and was responsible for the overall architectural function, form and presentation for this large scale retail based mixed-use project. We    worked directly with United Design Group (UDG) of Shanghai to take the design through City Council approvals to Schematic Design.
