PROJECT: research and understand classrooms for elementary aged children including size and scale along with the principles of montessori education.  design a montessori school in university city. 

PROGRAM: five montessori classrooms, common assembly space, green house, outdoor play areas (hard and soft), grove of trees, water, circulation and administration

APPROACH: using active interaction methods present in montessori, provide multiple paths for learning in the school, indoor and outdoor connections to all five classrooms.  divide classrooms into areas for seated learning, quiet reading, and circulation/overlap zones for cross age interactions.  articulate with material, light and access.
