The major challenge of designing such a prominent structure was creating a notable, yet integrated element into the already striking Philadelphia skyline.  The massing scheme of Market Tower focuses on the building’s relationship to the street, adjacent buildings, and the enhancement of the skyline from street and aerial views.  From a planning aspect, the ground floors focus on ease of access into the commercial and public areas of the building.  As the program changes, the floor plans are adapted for conference and office areas suitable to the client.  The semi-cylindrical shape of the building is atypical to the existing skyline, but the material selection, glass and metal panels, relates to the other skyscrapers located in Center City Philadelphia,
