Project Designer

588,000 sf
622 beds
558 parking
$57M

2400 Nueces will accommodate 622 students with almost 10,000 sf of academic/retail space on the ground level. Also included are several two level townhomes, a generous fitness/community center, and a five level parking structure. The building is broken into 8 “bars” of units - visually separated by color. The bars are organized into an S-shaped configuration that creates two great outdoor rooms - an active court with a pool that has views to the hills of west Austin and a quiet court that is oriented east toward views of the campus.

The primary skin material is an anodized aluminum shingle rainscreen system, accented with aluminum composite panels and cantilevered balconies. Native Texas limestone features heavily near the public entrance, and a perforated aluminum panel system animates the exterior of the parking structure beneath the towers.
