I'm looking to participate to a collaborative environment that values research, conceptual rigor, and constant ingenuity in an effort to create an architecture that is visually compelling, humane, and compatible with the notion of the architect as environmental and cultural steward.
I'm also really drawn to the notion of working on an issue without a crystallized solution already in mind, and the exhilaration that accompanies the process of its discovery - design as an act of reverse archeology. Inherent to this attitude, I enjoy working in a team environment with importance not necessarily placed on hierarchy, but enthusiastic input - a process that leads to a mentally tested architectural axiom based not on individual inspiration, but a natural selection of ideas and concepts.
Aside from architecture, I like to spend my time writing and recording music. While in Austin, I spent several years writing for and performing in a band with some great friends (The White Hotel). We wound up releasing an album, playing shows around town, and receiving some pretty solid reviews. It was a great time that I'm glad I had the opportunity to experience.

Page, Austin, TX, US, Associate / Project Designer
During my six year employment at PageSoutherlandPage, I saw four projects from design through construction documents and worked on a variety of programs and exercises including masterplanning, multifamily/mixed-use, healthcare, and office. My responsibilities involved all phases of building design including massing studies, test fits, unit layouts, elevations, interior design, garage planning, presentation renderings, client meetings, code negotiations, contractor interfacing, detailing, and preparation of construction documents. My experience at PageSoutherlandPage culminated with my role as project designer on a 588K square foot, 16 level multifamily hi-rise currently under construction.
