14 by 40 house is an excercise in spatial planning.  Students are to create a 2-bedroom house on a plot of land exactly 14 feet wide by 40 feet deep with shared walls on both sides as well as in the back.  Only the street facing facade and roof are allowed to have openings and there is to be at least 100 sf of inhabitable outdoor space.  In addition there is to be one parking space per house and a roofline of 28 ft max.
