Chicago’s northern boundary with Evanston has coastline that is currently unaccessible due to riprap revetments guarding the coast and a steep incline where there are beaches. This design proposes to create a continuity between both municipalities through a series of gardens, beaches and structures open to the general population. The riprap stone is retained and used for the molding beach and areas are delegated for native flora restoration.
