The project concept is based on a reflection about disability. This reflection has led to develop a specific spatiality, which aims at helping patients deal with their physical disabilities. In the shape of a ribbon the 4% inclination ramp welcomes the patient from the building access and enables him to move independently indoors, up to the first floor favoring patients’ total autonomy. This spiral-shaped «architectural promenade» unfolds along the central terrace garden in the middle, the rooms access and common spaces on its periphery and reaches a patio that offers a panoramic view of Amiens’historical center.
