House Silvola

The building base of the region consists of small residential houses actualized in layered fashion over several decades. Situated on a corner plot, Talo Silvola supplements the diversity of the region. The house’s living room and kitchen are situated in the middle of the building on the ground floor. The bedrooms are half storey higher in the corner of the plot with the sauna and hobby areas underneath in the basement. The garage and carport are situated on the western side of the plot. Bordered by the building masses, facing the block’s central part and supported by a wall, the yard descends to the level of the basement forming a sheltered fireplace area. Consisting of varied wood claddings, the grey façade lines the otherwise white building.
