The Place at Fifth + Broadway

The $400 million redevelopment project transforms the former site of the Nashville convention center into a vibrant, mixed-use destination. Located in the heart of one of the country’s fastest-growing downtown districts at Fifth and Broadway, the development includes a 385,000-square-foot Class-A office tower, 235,000-square-feet of walkable shops, restaurants, and cultural space including the upcoming National Museum of African American Music, a 387-unit contemporary residential tower, and a 2,400-vehicle parking garage in three separate structures.

Stylishly articulated to complement its historic urban context, the apartment tower’s modern, grey glass volume is overlaid by a black aluminum grid designed to accentuate the building’s form and make it both legible and distinct from the surrounding structures. The feature also serves to unify the tower with the loft-like contextual brick base podium which includes a resort-style amenity deck. A seven-level parking structure is situated over two levels of retail at the base of the building. Residential units wrap the garage to further activate the street below. Tower amenities include an outdoor pool, a yoga studio, a fitness room, VIP guest suites, a business center, music practice rooms, and a home theater.
