Working as an Intern for Goode Van Slyke Architects, we received an invite towards a competitive commission towards renovating the Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School in Atlanta. Describe as a bunker of sorts, the school lacked an inviting atmosphere attributed to an off white concrete facade and minimal glazing.  As a result, we responded with a proposal which would increase glazing around all facades and incorporate the use of color and material to add interest to the building. My direct responsibilities included scheme ideation, Renderings of the both interior and exterior, Elevations, and an overall Site Plan.
