The World Architecture Festival (WAF) Awards, the world’s biggest architectural awards program, has released its 2013 shortlist. Taking place this year at the sixth annual World Architecture Festival in Singapore between October 2-4, the WAF Awards 2013 have attracted entries from almost 50 countries.
The event is being held in association with Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA)’s festival of ideas about the city, Archifest.

Earlier this year in March, it was announced that Japanese architect Toyo Ito would join the ranks of the architecture Gods and be honored with the 2013 Pritzker Architecture Prize. The New Zealand Institute of Architects has announced nineteen architectural projects as winners of the 2013 New Zealand Architecture Awards.
