The Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation has announced a field of six influential women in the AEC industry to be honored as part of the 2022 BEVY Leadership Awards.
After revealing the first two winners — Snøhetta Managing Partner Elaine Molinar and Arup’s Chair of the Americas Fiona Cousins — in August, the Foundation has now also confirmed architect and Cornell AAP Dean J. Meejin Yoon, construction executives Brennan Gilbane Koch and Adrienne Hepler, and innovative real estate developer Judy Kessler as recipients of the honor, which will be presented during a gala on October 19th in New York.
The Foundation shares that categories for the recognition include innovation, mentorship, academic leadership, media engagement, organizational excellence, and emerging leadership, all of which are related to its core mission of changing the face of the industry through education and research.
“On the heels of winning prestigious grants for our podcast audio documentaries about great women in architecture and design, New Angle: Voice, we are very thankful for the strong and steadfast support from our gala sponsors and chairs,” the foundation’s executive director Cynthia Phifer Kracauer said in a statement. “Our movement is growing momentum and attention, and women leaders like our 2022 honorees are creating new ways to make that possible.”
