Out of 334 nominated recent grad projects, 40 of them have been shortlisted for the second edition of the Young Talent Architecture Award. Organized by the Fundació Mies van der Rohe with the support of Creative Europe, the YTAA distinguishes top-notch graduation projects from European architecture, urban planning and landscape schools — with China and South Korea participating as guest countries. Four winners are expected to be announced in late June, and will be celebrated in the YTAA ceremony in September during the Venice Biennale.
From a reimagined Bank of England to school prototypes to a new kind of Olympic infrastructure, here's a selection of the shortlisted projects.
You can find the rest of the shortlisted projects on YTAA's website.
