Old Kent Road - Breakfast Talk | 15 December
This breakfast talk from the NLA is focused on the transformation of Old Kent Road which will see an incredible 20,000 new homes and 5,000 jobs in the future. The area is currently home to major industry and a huge amount of companies, which strengthens its hold in the city, and with the two new Bakerloo stations set to arrive, this is an area to watch.
Greenwich Winter Time Festival | until December 31
This intimate winter festival is perfect for those wanting to take a different pace to Winter Wonderland, and the other big winter festivals. Set in the stunning grounds of the Greenwich Old Naval College, the surrounding buildings create a wonderful atmosphere; a great opportunity to take in the beauty of both the season and the facades.
London Model Talk - Christmas Special | 15 December
Each week, the NLA opens its doors for talks around its huge scale-model of London. This week, however, has a festive theme, and will give a birdseye view of what's going on in the city.
Christmas at Kew | until January
Christmas lights are everywhere, but a great place to experience the true wonder of winter lighting is at Kew Gardens. The festive lights and grounds are famous for the immersive experience they give visitors, as they wind around the sprawling gardens.
New infrastructure: What it means for London | 13 December
This half day conference will be centred around the growth and development that London must undertake to support the estimated increase in population (11.3 million predicted by 2050). Tackling this issue as well as Brexit, global markets, and transport, this conference will bring together experts from throughout the built environment.
