Gordon Matta-Clark: Anarchitect | Opening on November 8
Opening at The Bronx Museum of Art, this exhibition examines the social, relational, and activist approach of Gordon Matta-Clark. The exhibition will feature over 100 of the artist's works, rarely seen archival materials, and immersive film projections.
Art in the Open: Fifty Years of Public Art in New York | Opening on November 10
The Museum of the City of New York will host an exhibition highlighting transformative public artworks in NYC, as well as the public expectation of art that exists outside the traditional settings of museums and galleries. Check out renderings, models, photographs, and video footage of the creative process of public art by the likes of Kara Walker, Red Grooms, Christo and Jeanne-Claude, and more.
Po Kim: In Search of Arcadia | Open now until December 1
Among the first generation of Korean artists who immigrated to the United States in the 1950s, the late Po Kim explored various artistic styles and forms, from Abstract Expressionism to allegorical works. This exhibition presents a selection of Kim's works, which reveal his “progressive journey towards the idyllic safe haven he created in his art and in New York.”
