Our architect friends say competition is fierce and discount-seeking clients are already going for the jugular. One large university, about to hand out a contract in an architectural competition, said this, in so many words, to the winning bidder: "We realize there is desperation out there and have every intention of taking advantage, so if you don't lower your price, we will take our business elsewhere."

hallo bootbot? i agree. some UGG classic short boots would make us all feel better about this typographic turd of an article.
anyway -- what about the rest of the profession, those not named "Zaha, Rem, Frank and Jean" or "big ego Howard Roark types". the insinuation that what we do is overpriced by nature is enraging.
i do like aol's new logo but thank god i never go there for news. hopefully no one else does either.
