Today Oslo-based Various Architects unveiled their design for the most energy-efficient office building in Norway. The building features a variety of energy-saving measures including operable insulated shutters on the building’s facade, wind turbines, a green roof, and the use of local and sustainable building materials – a fitting tribute to COP15.

i saw this earlier today, and while i think it's a little rough around the edges, it seems to work - although there is a lot of the site devoted to cars...
i'm not sure i get dodson's take on passivhaus:
Passivhaus has not been ratified in norway yet
just because it hasn't been ratified doesn't mean you can't design to that standard! there already are passivhaus projects in NO... with something like 1000 residential units in the pipeline.
the CLT (cross laminated timbers, previously) are amazing, it's great to see them applicable in commerical projects as well (my only exposure has been with residential or single tenant commercial projects)
are the QR turbines operable? I was under the impression their vertical axis turbines weren't readily available.
nice timing on the release!
